Since the 1st of September 2009, all SGE members are now able to transact on any National Australia Bank (NAB) ATM without receiving a direct charge. This agreement has added 1,700 ATMs to SGE’s current ATM network – bringing it to more than 3,100 machines Australia wide.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has granted interim authorisation, to allow rediATM scheme participants to offer a direct charge free environment within an expanded scheme, which includes the NAB. This interim authorisation is effective pending a final decision on authorisation, which is anticipated in late 2009 or early 2010.
The new network will save rediATM customers millions of dollars a year in direct charge fees.
All NAB ATMs are in the process of being rebranded to include the rediATM logo. All NAB ATMs can be used with out direct charge even if the rediATM logo is not in place yet. The location of the NAB ATMs are now displayed on the rediATM website at www.rediATM.com.au
